DESCRIPTION

This is a first-person shooter game that I worked on for about 3 months for my Honours Dissertation - which was about delving into the effect of narrative and environmental storytelling on player immersion and navigation.

 

The main idea behind the gunplay in the game was that you are limited by the six bullet capacity of the revolver and must be accurate with your shots to compensate for it, with each headshot loading a bullet back into the chamber which keeps the combat flow going.

All of the models, including the Revolver and Arm Rig as well as both the Ghoul and Painting Apparition enemies were sourced. I created the rigs for the Ghoul and Revolver models with everything being animated by me.

Two testing sessions were also held for the game for research purposes, collecting every participant's feedback about the game
